An AI image pin is a pin where the background image is generated by AI. Your plan allowance is based on these AI-generated images (see “When do pin limits reset?” below).

Photo pins use a real photo instead of an AI image: your own uploaded photos, or the shop's own product photo taken from the product page and never redrawn. The words are drawn exactly as written. These, and metadata-only workflows, count under the photo-pin limits, not your AI pins. (Amazon links use AI pins: Amazon only allows its product photos to be shown through its own tools.)
